It is bittersweet to see how naturally she takes over the role of Mommy. It seems like just yesterday that I was the one carrying a tightly swaddled bundle of joy in my arms.

We Play : Baby Dolls
E is beginning to show her first interest in pretend play. Her baby dolls have been a favorite toy for months but just recently has she started to actually play with them. As a girl who played with dolls far past the age of being socially acceptable ( were talking 12 or 13), I am overjoyed to see my little girl developing the same love for her babies. It has been so much fun to see her little mothering instincts kick in as she goes about her feeding, rocking, cuddling, and shushing. I love joining in the play and watching how quickly she picks up on everything I do.
