I could go on and on but I think I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Apple Picking 2012
One of my all time favorite things about fall in Ohio is welcoming the season with a trip to the local apple orchard. This was our second annual event and it was even more fun this time around. E was much more interested in actually picking apples off the trees this year rather than just collecting the fallen ones off the ground like she insisted on doing last year. Sharing the experience with baby M made it all the more special!

Reflections of Year Two
My baby girl is two years old today. Its hard to believe that time has really passed that fast. As cliche as it may sound, it seems like just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital, yet somehow in the whirlwind of time she has transformed from that tiny little baby into a vivacious, spirited, beautiful, loving, funny, intelligent little girl. Being her mother is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Our celebration was simple yet full of fun. I took the opportunity to fill my girl's day with all of the little things she loves. We kicked the morning off with two of E's favorite things: pancakes and Minnie Mouse. She thought these were pretty awesome and loved eating Minnie's face one bite at a time.
Continuing our Minnie theme, I surprised her with a special outfit to wear on her special day! She especially loved all of the accessories and enjoyed modeling them for me.
I busily decorated the house for the party during nap time. She was so excited to see everything when she woke up. She marched around the house singing "happy birthday too me" and "It's party time"! So cute!
Nana and Papa came over and we kicked things off with loads of presents and treats. It was so much fun to watch E open all of her gifts. The look of surprise on her face as she discovered what was in each package was priceless.
For dinner we had Mickey Pizza and followed up with the special Minnie cupcakes that E helped bake and decorate. We sang "Happy Birthday" and she even blew out her candles all by herself!
We finished off the evening with her favorite movie of all time, Tangled. At the end of the night, Papa asked her what her favorite part of her birthday was. She thought for a second and then with a grin said "presents". Sister knows what birthdays are all about!
